Summer Tasting at Loch Fyne, Knutsford on 16/06/2010 6-8.30pm
We have an exciting new venue for the Summer wine-tasting - Loch Fyne in Knutsford (WA16 6GR). The tasting will be held in a space which normally holds tables for diners (it looks out over King Street, also known as bottom street) and I have to say I'm delighted that Loch Fyne agreed to the idea.
Tickets are only £5 per person - they will be £10 on the door - which is a complete bargain when you consider the quality of the wines on offer (from £6 to £30 per bottle) and that you will also be entitled to a voucher giving you 10% off your next bill at Loch Fyne (valid for 7 days from the 16th June if you place an order for just 6 bottles of wine at the tasting).
Around half of the wines shown will be new listings to Martin-Bird Wines, so it'll be well worth coming along to see what's new and interesting in the world of wine.
I won't go into the full listing of the new wines here, but I can divulge that there will be wines from:
Alpha Domus (top quality winery in Hawke's Bay, NZ) Tokara (fantastic estate in South Africa) Casa Montes, Ampakama (superb wines for under £10)
as well as a host of others; and just £5 per person will get you an opportunity to taste some 50 wines (including a few bottles of Champagne and sparkling wine).
