Meaty, rich, spicy black cherries, chocolate and tobacco on the nose and medium to full bodied, soft tannins, ripe black fruits on the palate with all of the complexity the bouquet promises. Fonterutoli is highly regarded by critics and consumers around the globe and I’m delighted to add it to the Italian section.
Produced with Sangiovese and a small amount of Malvasia Nera, Colorino and Merlot, it is characterized by a balance of elegance and complexity, which make this wine a magnificent example of the terroir. 90% Sangiovese; 5% Malvasia Nera e Colorino; 5% Merlot
